What's it all about?
Jackie Clarke and
Callie Blood are city gals with country hearts. Coming from entirely
different musical backgrounds, they meet enthusiastically where melody
embraces a heartfelt delivery in a place sometimes called "Alternative
Country".
Jackie and Callie combine
their myriad musical experiences to produce a true vocal treat, taking
inspiration from international artists like Emmy-Lou Harris,
Lucinda Williams and Johnny Cash, but exploring a repertoire
of predominantly New Zealand compositions from composers like Wayne
Mason, Dave Dobbyn and Greg Johnson. Recently, they’ve
added a string of original compositions by Callie Blook and Wayne Bell
bringing the whole thing even closer to home. The line-up is
breathtakingly simple - two great voices in harmony supported by three
of NZ’s finest instrumentalists.
Jackie Clarke - well known singer and entertainer extraordinaire.
Member of the kiwiana comedy trio, When the Cat’s Been Spayed (Jayrem
Records),
popular soloist from events such as Xmas in the Park and formerly
with Wellington country swing combo Big Fiddle.

production with a long history of singing jingles for radio and TV.
Wrote and performed Mobil Radio Finalist series of solo compositions for
National Radio entitled Emotional Waistline. Formerly with
Wide Mouth Frogs, Tex Pistol and Big Fiddle.
Wayne Bell - New Zealand ’s leading session drummer on this
occasion spreads his wings to play acoustic guitar. Plays regularly with
Dave Dobbyn, Greg Johnson and Splitter. Also a
record producer of note, credits include Splitter, Jan Hellriegel
and Bic Runga.
Rob Galley - one of the country’s most in demand guitarists.
Generally accustomed to sell out tours with bands such as When the
Cat’s Away, or playing lead in the hit musical “Hair”.

Director of the annual Norfolk Island Country Music Festival
every year!
