The Wildest Show in Vegas - A "Las Vegas" style tribute to Louis Prima
A cabaret show for all ages, with laughter, fun, music and pace. This is Prima's tribute to the great Louis Prima. In the 1950's and 1960's the top show in the Las Vegas casino district was the one known as "The Wildest Show in Vegas". Trumpeter, comedian and singer Louis Prima lead a show that included his wife Keely Smith and top band The Witnesses led by outstanding tenor sax player Sam Butera.

Louis Prima had many hit songs at the time including Jump Jive & Wail, Just a Gigolo, Beono Serra, That Old Black Magic, You Rascal You plus several top ten albums.

This was the period when popular music moved from jazz to rock 'n' roll and Prima was one of the pioneers of the new style of music by adding shuffle style rock'n'roll rhythms to old popular hits which was later picked up on by Rock legends like Bill Haley and Chuck Berry.

Prima's Wildest Show in Vegas is outrageous good fun with tunes recognised by most people, young or old. There is humour, action, superb music, great sing-a-long numbers and full-on great entertainment.

Neo Swing Party and Dance
Prima are also specialists in the new Neo Swing Band style of Cherry Poppin Daddies, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Royal Crown Revue and Big Bad Voodoo Daddies ... bands that are emerging with the revival of swing/ shuffle/ jive music which appeals to young and old alike. It's fun, fast and great to dance to.

Prima can set a theme for your prestige ball or dance by creating a SWING EVENING for you. The band will combine with members of the JITTERBUGS Dance Troupe to demonstrate dancing to swing music (Jitterbug, Lindyhop, Ceroc etc.) and then perform swing music for the evening. We can even arrange for pre dance Lindy Hop dance lessons for your group.

Wedding Music
Prima can provide quiet background Jazz music for the wedding dinner using keyboards/piano bass & tenor sax. After speeches the full band can come on and perform our unique blend of popular covers and neo swing music for dancing for all ages. Prima will provide a full PA system and microphones for your speeches and CD or Minidisk option for background music when required. (A full time sound operator comes with us and looks after the sound mix).

They can also supply a small musical ensemble for the wedding ceremony for pre-service music, wedding march, a feature number during registry signing and after service background music.
