Freeway is a totally
professional, thoroughly entertaining dance band. The play list
includes well-known songs by best-loved artists, covering all musical
genres from jazz to popular retro and current hits. Freeway is unique in
that it features multiple lead vocalists and a hugely varied repertoire.
Freeway also features several of NZ’s most highly regarded vocalists and
musicians including; (L-R) Ernie Semu, Mickey Ututaonga, Rewa Ututaonga,
Paul Voight, Jasmin Kemp and Ben Turua.
Lead vocalist Jasmin Kemp is a versatile and experienced entertainer.
Singing professionally since 1992, Jasmin has performed at a huge range
of events in an equally diverse range of venues, from aircraft hangars
and rainforests to beaches and private yachts. Highlights include the
King of Tonga’s birthday, Clear conference in Australia, Griffins &
Watties conferences in Fiji, Coca Cola conference in Bali. Comfortably
moving between musical genres, from jazz and pop to rock, retro and R&B,
Jasmin can cover it all. She has a warm and friendly entertaining style;
combine this with some great frocks and ‘voila’ you’re drivin’ down the
Boogie Freeway in style!
Guitarist and vocalist Paul Voight has performed his way around NZ with
both his own acts plus backing celebrity artists such as John Rowles and
Tina Cross. He has also completed several long-term contracts at 5-star
hotels in Japan. Paul is a talented guitarist, directing the band
musically with flair and personality.
